Without scholarship support, many children will not have the opportunity to graduate even from primary school. Your continued support can help children reach their dreams.
Hoping to go on to the next level of education
Docrak, a scholarship student, is in the fourth grade at primary school, and is the eldest of three children. She likes to study, but she canft spend as much time at her schoolwork as shefd like because of her busy life as an oldest daughter. She must spend time fetching water and firewood, taking care of her younger siblings, and planting rice.
However, since she received a scholarship to help her get a school uniform and supplies, her grades have improved. She wants to finish her primary school education and continue on to junior high school. Her dream is to become a nurse.
Docrak's parents are not opposed to her idea of going to junior high. However, her family has no savings, and not even enough money for daily food. They cannot afford to send her to school.
Your continued scholarship support can help Docrak reach her dream.
Dreaming and waiting for opportunity
Kamcon was so nervous during her interview-even sweating-that her parents, who were sitting next to her, answered the questions. Her father said:
gOur annual rice harvest is not enough for five children. We hardly live on rice, trading fish, and the antfs eggs we collect from the woods and river.
Both my wife and myself dropped out of school when we were young, I in the second grade of primary school and she in the first year of junior high. Although I hope that our children continue to study as long as possible, higher education fees are expensive. I want my children to try to receive a scholarship and graduate from primary school.h
Karcon is pretty busy everyday preparing food, fetching water, and caring for her siblings after coming home from school. She has been waiting for the result of her scholarship application to find out if she can achieve her dream.
I really need scholarship assistance
Buntan has classmates who are attending school with the help of scholarships. She hopes that she will get a scholarship too, so she can continue with her education. Her parents struggle to pay even for daily food for their six children and cannot make enough money for Buntan and her siblings to get school supplies.
Buntan says that she really understands the difficulty of her parents and hopes to get scholarship assistance for her education. She also says that if she can get a scholarship, she will study diligently. Her dream is to be a nurse.
